Today’s post is part of a collection of ideas I’m putting together for one of our Facebook friends who asked for some creative ideas for her son’s upcoming birthday party.
We’ve already shared the Ninja Turtle Apples, and today we have a beverage for you.
(Do YOU have a kids birthday party coming up soon? Would you like some creative kid snack ideas for your party? Please let us know on Facebook! I’d love to help you come up with some unique foods to serve! Tell me the theme, and let’s get creative together!)
Serve up these cute little drinks to all your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans!
Start with small bottles of green Gatorade.
Remove the wrappers.
Cut a one inch strip lengthwise of construction paper to match the turtle you are making. For Donatello, I am using purple. Slice one to two inches off the end of your strip to use for the “ties” in the back of the headband later.
Use a package of white circle labels for eyes. Stick two on your paper once you’ve added some eyeballs. This is so much easier than trying to cut eye holes out of the construction paper.
Note: I trimmed the circles into almond shapes because I liked the look better. If you are running short on time, you can definitely keep the circles round.
Use clear packing tape to secure the main strip around the bottle. Tape the strip to itself and to the bottle with a large piece of tape.
Take the extra inch or two you cut off of the original strip, slice it in half, and tape the two pieces to the main strip to look like the “ties”.
Add little eyebrows, and you are all set!
Enjoy!
